Blackcurrant

The blackcurrant plant is native to northern parts of Europe and Asia. Its berries are a very dark purple and contain seeds. Blackcurrant is a source of vitamins, with the most significant one being vitamin C. When compared with blueberries, blackcurrant has 18 times the amount of Vitamin C and double the amount of antioxidants. Blackcurrant seed oil is derived from the seeds of blackcurrant. The oil contains high amount of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
